Curb appeal can and will kill a deal even before the buyer gets out of the car. I’ve seen it happen for years. Buyers will pass up beautifully decorated homes with perfect features if the home looks bad from the road. Yard, Carpet & paint are all easy cheap fixes sellers should eagerly correct.

My favorite is the 12 year old carpet that sellers just want to clean. Holes and all.

Excellent tips. I totally agree with you. I spend a lot
of time landscaping my own yard (as well as decorating the inside) and
it always amazes me how little effort people put into their own
properties. Even if your home ISN’T for sale, you should have
some pride in it. It improves the overall image of your
neighborhood.
