<p><strong>Foster City</strong> is a planned community with waterways running throughout the city.  Along these waterways you might find apartments, condos, townhouses or single family homes.  And as you might expect, living along the water is much desired and the homes sitting there do command a higher price.</p>
<p><strong>Waterfront homes</strong> often sell faster and for more money than the exact same floor plan across the street. As they say, Location, Location, Location.</p>
<p>Right now there are currently 3 waterfront homes for sale, 1 pending sale, and 3 that have sold within the past couple of weeks. By the way, none of the homes that sold, went for asking price.  All three sold below asking.  The story here is that if you want to buy a home today, don&#8217;t be put off by the price because sellers are negotiating and if they really need to sell, will entertain a legitimate offer, so make one.</p>
<p>Waterfront living is wonderful. If you are a sailor, Foster City only allows non-gas motor boats on the water so you can either have a sailboat, electric boat, paddle boat, row boat, or kayak but no motor boats allowed.  Believe me, you&#8217;ll thank the City of Foster City for this law because it keeps noise abated from the community allowing the peace of the water to be enjoyed by all.</p>
