It’s Time to Spring Clean Your e-Waste!
We all have this stuff hanging around our houses and garages, if you’re
anything like us. You know what I mean. Old computer equipment, cords and cables that belong to who knows what, old zip drives, those old dead mice, outdated printers, keyboards or monitors that no longer work. And, how about the TV that died or you replaced for the flat screen? You know you have an old radio or microwave oven sitting around. The stuff builds up like blocks
of debris, taking up corners in rooms and the garage. Catching those pesky dust bunnies and just plain hanging around. It’s called e-Waste. What are we supposed to do with it?
You can’t just throw it into the garbage because most of this stuff
is not environmentally safe, so what do you do? Let it sit in your house and try not to look at it? Guess what! You can get rid of it legally and for free this Saturday, February 2 at San Mateo High School.
This is a fundraiser for the senior class and will take place between 9 AM and 4 PM. Just drive over there, follow the signs in the parking lot, and get the junk out of your house. Think of it as an Early Spring Cleaning.
