This week, the California Association of Realtors sent out an interesting chart showing the median home price of housing by county across the state. San Mateo County tops the chart. Followed quickly by Marin and San Francisco Counties. I used to call our areas Fantasy Island back in the day of crazy real estate. We’re Baaaaack, at they say. Prices have gone way, way up and our county has a median price of $825,000. Remember that word, median since we have one of the most expensive cities in the country in our county, Atherton, followed by several other cities almost as expensive; Woodside, Portola Valley and Hillsborough.
Altos Research shows how the price of homes in San Mateo County have jumped over the past year. Who’s still looking for the bottom of the market? If you’re still out there, it’s long gone. Are you thinking about selling your San Mateo County home? Now is the time!
