Lenore Wilkas grew up in Palo Alto before it knew it was the Silicon Valley and spent the major portion of her life in the Bay Area. She graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in TV-Film and a minor in Music. She spent 30 years in the broadcasting industry doing on-air, production, and sales in the San Francisco, Salt Lake City and Washington, DC markets. From there she migrated into the infancy of the Internet and worked for four start-ups. Real Estate was always an industry she knew she would enter, and she did so in 2002, in Burlingame and downtown San Mateo (in San Mateo County) where she worked with her husband, Alex.

The Wilkas’s moved to North San Diego County in 2015 and are excited to join Engel & Völkers in Carlsbad Village.  Lenore is a member of the board of directors of NSDCAR, our local Board of Real Estate, and is currently serving as Treasurer. She is also a Director of the California Association of Realtors.  She is a big advocate for affordable housing and in assisting Seniors with their real estate transitions.

Lenore has the following education designations:  GRI, SRES, SFR, RCS-D and has taken an additional 60 hours of education around the legal issues of divorce, and Elder Real Estate issues.

Outside of real estate she volunteers with The Assistance League of Inland North County and was a member of their board of directors for two terms. She is a board member of Pacific Lyric Opera. She sings with two choruses, Escondido Choral Arts Choir and Pacific Coast Choral.

Lenore & Alex live in San Marcos with their dog, Baxter, and two cats, Rolo and Ellie.  They have four grown children and two grandsons.
